What I do

Everything your business needs to be seen.

01

Web Design

Responsive, mobile-optimised sites with real content and photography that's actually yours. Design, layout, copy, images, all of it.

02

Copywriting

Good copy is clear, not clever. It tells your customer what you do, why it matters, and what to do next. Web content, social media, adverts, newsletters.

03

Photography

Stock photography is a placeholder. I shoot your products, people and spaces, and because I'm also designing and writing around them, every image has a purpose.

04

Social Media

Post templates, captions, content that fits your brand, so you're not starting from scratch every week.

Selected work

Sites designed, built and filled with real content.

Most of these required the full package, photography, copywriting, design and build. A few are maintained on an ongoing basis.

Social Media

Three-month campaigns, real results.

Content distributed across Instagram, Facebook, Threads and Pinterest for two client accounts. In July, posting tempo and days were adjusted based on platform data showing Tuesdays through Saturdays as peak engagement days. Both campaigns remain active, and continue to be adjusted in response to viewer, follower and unfollower behaviour as it develops.

Tobias Art

Built around reaching art buyers rather than artists, with a deliberate shift away from artist-community hashtags like #fineart toward collector and lifestyle-oriented tags including #artcollector, #southafricanart, #interiordesign, and geography-specific tags like #clarens and #freestate.

Blankets for Africa

Reach grew significantly over three months, with non-followers consistently comprising the majority, confirming strong discovery potential. Follower growth, however, stalled after an initial gain, views were not converting to followers, likely due to a lack of explicit calls to action. Going forward, every post reinforces the "pamper yourself" angle with direct follow prompts in captions, hashtags have shifted to niche and location-specific tags (#ClarensShops, #SouthAfricanHandmade, #SelfCareAfrica), and a weekly "new in store" format gives both locals and visitors a consistent reason to follow and visit the shop on Main.

Blankets for Africa — Posts

Khotso blanket folded on a sandstone sill

Khotso. Peace. That is what this blanket is named, and that is exactly what it delivers. Folded on a sandstone sill, mountains behind it, waiting for someone who needs both. Find it at Blankets for Africa. 278 On Main, Clarens.

Two people sharing a blanket under a Clarens sky

One blanket. Two people. A Clarens sky doing the rest. The longest night of the year. Make it count.

Cream and grey striped blankets with fringed edge

Not every blanket shouts. These ones whisper — cream, grey, soft stripe, fringed edge. The kind that disappear into a bedroom and never leave.

Yellow crossbody bag and coin purse

Some mornings just need the right bag. Yellow. Compact. Ready before the coffee is finished. The crossbody and coin purse that go everywhere together.

Stack of ten colourful blankets

A stack that tall demands respect. Ten blankets. Ten stories waiting to happen. Pick the one that looks like you — bold, bright, and built for the cold. They are all at 278 On Main, Clarens.

Woman wrapped in a blanket by the fire

Every fire needs someone who arrives wrapped in a blanket and owns the whole evening. She knows something the rest of them are still learning. The blanket is not just warmth. It is authority.

Blanket thrown over a couch

One blanket. The whole room changes. Throw it over the couch and suddenly everything else makes sense. Warm and beautiful — that is not a compromise, that is the point.

Travel bag

Every trip deserves a bag that looks like it has already been somewhere. Packed or empty, this one turns heads either way.

Soft red blanket

Not every hug needs to be heavy. Sometimes it is just this — something soft, something red, something that lands on your lap without asking permission. The kind of blanket that follows you from the couch to the bed to the garden and back again.

Cottage fireplace with blanket

This is what June should feel like. A Clarens cottage. A crackling fire. A blanket that has seen enough winters to know exactly how to keep you warm.

Tobias Art — Posts

A painting leaves the studio and you rarely know what happens next. Some go to galleries. Some go home with someone you never meet. One of these, we know exactly where it lives now. The rest, scattered wherever people carry the things they love.

Striped Fields painting in a Clarens home

Striped Fields now watches over a bookkeeper's desk in Clarens. Something about red earth and storm clouds probably puts the numbers in perspective.

The Long Way Home painting

Some roads you take because you have to. Some you take because you need to remember who you are. Tobi painted that feeling. Herman turned it into something that belongs in your home. Production is ongoing — enquire at tobiasart.com/skedepi.

Skedêpi t-shirt design in progress

Armed with a heat press and absolutely no supervision, I design t-shirts in Clarens. More often than my partner would like. If you've ever wanted to wear the part of your personality that makes people at braais go quiet, Skedêpi is for you. We ship. We don't judge. Mostly.

Skedêpi t-shirt design

TSHIRTS — I didn't plan to become a t-shirt designer. But Clarens happened, and here we are. The weird ideas come fast here — and the scary part is, people buy them. Every. Single. Time. Skedêpi T-Shirts. Main Street, Clarens. Or online, if you're still on your way.

Storm Front painting, sold

It was heading straight for us. That particular grey, not threatening, just inevitable. This one found its home. As it should.

Before the Break painting

It was heading straight for us. That particular grey — not threatening, just inevitable.

Who I am

One person who holds the thread.

Most small businesses don't fail at their work, they fail at presenting it. A half-finished website, stock photos that look nothing like them, copy written by committee. I fix that. From the first photo to the final published page, I handle it.

I work with small South African businesses that need to look and sound like they mean business, without the agency price tag or the coordination headache.

"The best results come when one person holds the thread from start to finish."

Joan Keyter

How it works

Simple. Direct. Done.

One conversation is usually enough to understand what you need. Then I get to work, and I keep you informed, not overwhelmed.

1

We talk

Tell me what you need, what's not working, and what you want to achieve. No forms, no briefs, just a conversation.

2

I plan

I put together a clear scope of what I'll deliver and what it will cost. No surprises.

3

I deliver

Photography, copy, design, site, in the right order, by one person who knows how they all connect.

4

You're done

A finished, professional online presence. No coordination, no chasing, no half-measures.
